Professor Cheng Hanping participates in China-Central Asia and ASEAN Development Cooperation Forum

On September 6-7, the Sixth Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo, guided by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and hosted by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee and Lanzhou University, was officially opened in Dunhuang. Li Shulei, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Propaganda, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

Professor Cheng Hanping, a researcher of Collaborative Innovation Center of South China Sea Studies of Nanjing University, was invited to participate in the China-Central Asia and ASEAN Development Cooperation Forum held on September 7, and had an in-depth academic exchange with more than 60 experts and professors from countries along the Silk Road.

At the conference, Professor Cheng Hanping made a report named The Interrelationship between Chinese Modernization and the Community of Destiny of Neighboring Countries - Taking ASEAN as an Example, which systematically elaborated the core essence of Chinese modernization and its difference with that of Western countries, and also the close relationship between Chinese modernization and a community with a shared future of mankind.
